English For IT™ Summer 2024 Report
The summer of 2024 is drawing to a close (= ending soon), which means one thing for our team at English For IT™ — it’s time to reflect on our progress over the past three months. Join us as we unpack the wins, challenges, and insights.
This summer has been so action-packed that we hardly noticed the intense heatwaves sweeping across (= happening all over) Europe.
Our Team
Let’s start with the most important part — our team made up of admins and dozens of teachers from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the US. While some of us have never met in person, we’ve spent plenty of time together online! We celebrated Donut Day, discussed EURO2024, and followed the recent Paris Olympics.
But that’s not all! We also designed and launched a 3-month ESL Teacher Upskill Program 2024 for our team of English teachers — developed and delivered fully in-house, and verified with a certificate of completion at the end. The goal was to help our teachers better understand the unique needs of their tech and business students and give them the tools to craft their own lessons and teaching materials. Although it was initially intended as internal training, we eventually decided to make this program available to the broader public. And it was a great decision! Seeing all the mentions and certificate shares on LinkedIn made us proud of everyone who finished this program.
Our Summer in Numbers
You can’t do a retrospective without sharing a few stats, right? So here’s the English For IT™ summer in numbers:
- **1,000+ hours of lessons** — our total lesson time delivered this summer. Shoutout to our amazing teachers, many of whom are based in Ukraine, for pushing through rigorous blackout schedules and other challenges to keep educating students worldwide.
- **100+ students** completed online courses and semesters this summer. We received over 100 positive reviews and saw our certificates proudly displayed on LinkedIn!
- **2,300 people** joined our English For IT™ Academy to become part of a global community and continue learning every day.
Corporate Education
Throughout the summer, we worked with our clients: Provectus, Odeeo, Appsfactory, CIGen, Sift, Inflection, and more. We also delivered dozens of soft skills and effective communication workshops for companies such as Exadel, Amazon, Ciklum, and others. And that’s not to mention hundreds of one-on-one lessons on topics that we could one day write a whole book about!
English For IT™ Products
Our English For Tech textbook and online course, English For Tech, were our best-selling products this summer. We also launched a new course, Business Writing For Human Resources, aimed at helping HR professionals, recruiters, and people in managerial positions improve their written communication.

Partnerships
Lastly, this summer brought the opportunity for the English For IT™ brand to be seen by more people. In collaboration with Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, we made our Job Interview Crash Course available for free to thousands of Ukrainians.
We also partnered with the University of Cape Town in South Africa, Alfred Nobel Business School in Europe, Le Wagon — one of the largest boot camps in the world, and Henry — the academy for tech professionals in Latin America. Together, we aim to help students worldwide gain easier access to career opportunities in tech through effective English communication.
All summer long, we were both teaching and learning, attending and speaking at conferences, organizing events, creating new courses, and celebrating the success stories of our students.
